Kansas City, MO 64111

Baltimore Place was built for the “Carriage Trade” in 1915 by Wight & Wight, architects of the Nelson Art Gallery and the Kansas City Life Building. The stables for the building were directly in back where the church is now standing. The building was purchased in 1978 by Scott Lindsay and developed into a condominium building in 1984.

Baltimore Place has a unique U-shaped floor plan that offers more light (windows on all four sides of each unit), more privacy, only 10 flats on 5 floors.

9’7” ceilings, wood floors, moldings, wood burning fireplace, original 9’ cast iron bathtubs and sinks are all original to the building.

Construction is reinforced concrete, hollow tile brick and terra cotta. The floors are 17” thick clay overlaid with refinished hardwood or new marble and the stairway is marble with decorative iron railing.

Secured parking with a gated nine foot fence and electronic door with two spaces per apartment with the entrance to the building and elevator from the parking lot.

Swimming pool and steam room on the lower court level heated year around.

Secured gardens with furniture and entrance to the lower court pool level.

Heating and cooling are forced air, high efficiency units in each apartment.

Windows are bronzed storms and screens with sheathing over exposed exterior wood.

Washer and dryer hookup are in each apartment.

Foyer, stairways and halls are furnished in 17th, 18th and 19th century antiques.

Storage includes individual lockers court level and behind each unit.

* The owners of 4 North and 3 South have moved to other units in the building. 1 North has moved to St. Louis but leased the space for a showroom before listing. 3 North are moving to Atlanta to be with their children.
